Software as a service = sustainability
It seems like we use less when we make use of shared resources. Software as a service (SaaS) is turning out to be a very green proposition. Most of us starting SaaS sites probably were just looking for economic scalability initially but we use a fraction of the resources a typical enterprise software implementation does. Our system at http://www.digitalchalk.com is about as sustainable as possible. It goes to show you that sustainability can also be the least costly route.
