Either way our arrogance will be our undoing. Nature will bounce back once we have been reduced to nothing more than a foot note in history. While I don't believe as a species we will be wiped out, that is not far from reality. I do believe we will suffer a massive die off due to disease, war and famine... all of which will be caused by greed and ignorance.

People like frgough will deny the truth and reality of what is happening to the planet and to the human race. And they will be the ones that will die off first. Others that understand and have started to make a transition to a more sustainable life style will survive and once things settle down, we can once again live in harmony with the planet and our own species.

Food for thought or better yet... a more sustainable way to produce food without toxins, chemicals or other detrimental technologies: http://www.portablefarms.com/index.php This is a symbiotic system that is not only sustainable but a reality of where we need to go. And this can be expanded to other areas of food. But first a shift in thinking needs to happen... and it will soon enough. When? Not sure, but soon.

It's ideas like this along with a transition from a carbon fuel based economy to a green renewable economy that will ensure we survive as a species, but also ensure the survival of other species critical to our ability to live. But first we need to kill off about 5 billion people. And with diminishing food sources world wide, imminent war (did you hear the Russians are loading nuclear weapons on their ships, subs and fighter bombers...) it's only a matter of time before the massive die off begins.

Sounds fatalistic? Not really, the evidence is there in front of our faces. But denial is strong in the American mind. And that denial will be our downfall. Whether we die from war, famine or disease really doesn't matter. For those that continue to live in denial and refuse to take proactive steps to avoid these realities we face as a species it will become their truth soon enough. In other words our current way of living and raping the planet is not sustainable.

We have extracted a massive debt due to our flagrant pillaging of natural resources as a species, our arrogant disregard about that which we rely on so desperately for survival, you know... the biosphere called earth, that we are about to be called to pay back what we owe. Thank you arrogant greedy people. I don't appreciate the legacy nor the world you have created. And I hope that you are the first to pay the debt you have created... your bed is made, now sleep in it. devil
