America is finished
This latest downturn coupled with the internet and lax foreign ownership laws means that the devaluation of housing, which would normally ultimately let poor Americans back into the market, is letting foreign "investors" scoop up land and houses.

On a larger scale, we have investment banks being bailed out by the Chinese, office towers being bought by billionaires in the middle east.

And what great brainwave does the government have? More free trade. We need to sell beef to Korea, and wheat to China.

Well maybe it's just me, but a superpower is supposed invent and build things, and invest in education to fuel more inventions and feed the cycle over and over. It isn't supposed to balance it's budget on the backs of farmers.

Instead, we have been turned into an agrerian economy where the only tangible exports are those we grow. Wow, aren't most African countries' economies based on agricultural exports? And how rich are they?

The rest of our mighty economy is a bunch of fat consumers who really believe that low prices at Walmart benefits them.

Well low prices are only important if your real wages are sinking like a rock because the country is being sucked of all its wealth by parasites both foreign and domestic.

You really think the Chevy Volt will turn the country around? What planet are you on?
