It took Mother Nature...
millions of years to lock up the carbon into fossil fuels that we have managed to release in a hundred.

Nature can not fix it as fast as we are polluting it. That is the issue. Take a look at the size of the ice coverage and it is obvious something is speeding up the melting. If it's not warmer temperatures then there must be some new laws of physics we haven't discovered. Water freezes when it gets to a certain temperature and melts when it gets above that temperature. Simple.
