Burn the freaking methanol in an internal combustion
engine. Catalyst requirement gone.
Sheesh.
Just another example that global warming really isn't about
global warming. Making and burning methanol is carbon-
neutral, but note how the idea of simply manufacturing
methanol to use in an internal combustion engine is never
