New Thing In Solar?
I applaud the story on solar technology but feel some of the statements presented are not entirely accurate. While thin film technology is great for specific applications, like use for lightweight or transportable systems, it is simply not true that is will directly compete with "older technology." Existing silicon pv technology will still continue being the majority of over 80% of all solar panels installed in the world for the next several decades. Also, some things to point out...standard pv panels are more efficient and already come with a 25 year power output guarantee.

Again, I wanted to thank you for this story on solar, but want to point that thin film is not 'the new thing' to replace 'old technology' but is a complementary product.
