This is sound byte journalism. Are you just hoping for ill-informed rants that you can confuse with actual interest in a subject? This has almost nothing to do with energy consumption as it related to IT. How about addressing something like the energy efficiency of RISC vs. CISC in database servers? Does Sun's Niagara live up to their claims about energy efficiency?
Or
What is the impact of telecommuting on US energy consumption?
Or
What is the relative energy consumption of 100 PC's vs. 100 thin clients and a big blade server in the back room? How does a web-app interface compare with a something like VNC for accessing corporate applications remotely? What pain is involved in moving to thin clients (assuming that they are more energy efficient)?

These would be interesting to me and on-topic.
