The health benefit is well worth
riding as well as the reduced impact on climate. I cycle 9 miles each way to work, every day (except when I am really tired or it's raining really hard), that's 18 miles a day. Do the math on gas saved, money saved, carbon not emitted and roads not damaged which has a further carbon, fuel and materials savings. And I get the health benefit of excellent blood pressure (114/65 resting with a 59BPM heart rate at 40 years old), excellent health, reduced stress! And I don't have that "40 year old gut" I see a lot of men younger than me packing around.

If you live in an area where cycling is possible (yes I know some of you live in frozen hell!) do it! It's the best thing you could do on so many levels. I also run my errands by bicycle, I shop using my bike... It's a matter of just doing it and sticking with it. And feeling great all the time, is just worth it! devil
