This has all the problems of *any* potential biometric ID system. While the ear squeak (okay, there's got to be a name that doesn't provoke hilarity) might be unique, just like DNA, fingerprints, or whatever, there's one unavoidable problem.

How do you prove the data stored for "John Smith" really belongs to John Smith of Peoria instead of John Smith of Florida? Or John Jones, Hacker Extraordinare?

Given all the data breaches we've had, it would be child's play for some hacker to alter the ID data stored in the bank's computer. Then change it *back* and nobody knows nuffin. happy
