The battle has started...
My rep said there were parts of this press conference where SteveB was sending messages out to all Microsoft partners and employees. I for one ditched Cisco "gear" a long time ago. I knew RRAS and ISA servers were more robust and industry standard than anything Cisco could deploy. I fired the CCIE my predecessor had hired and replaced him with 40 MCSEs. At the end of the day, I am much better off with RRAS servers because my rep and MCS can come onsite and create innovative Microsoft solutions. People don't seem to mind either when we reboot the entire LAN/WAN infrastructure on patch Tuesdays. They respect the technology so much that 90% of the company stays home on Patch Tuesday now.
