Open Source?? For a weaponizable commodity??
We reeeally haven't already got enough troubles with "open source" knowledge in the nuke and biochem weapons arenas, we have to open up yet a new playbook for the terrorists??

No, I'm not a techie doomsayer, per se -- just that we don't even know enough about what knowledge can be safely made available. Probably even more to the point, the proliferation of even the basic toolsets and techniques (just as in biochem) has a significant impact on future risk factors.
