Understand where the VA is today.
I'm in the VA health care program and actually see no problem with the
IT side.

My records are totally computerized. If I bring in a report from outside
of the system it's scanned in immediately.

When I have lab or imaging the reports at computerized. Actually the
images are also computer based - I get copies of all images on CDs
before leaving Radiology. Including CT scans.

If i need a prescription refill I just get on the internet and select the
Rx's I need. They get mailed if I react in time. Or I can go to the local
VA clinic and get a short term supply, with the balance mailed in a few
days.

There is no valid to move current VA systems to private industry. All
that does is take money from the VA and put in the hands of friends of
Bush & Co. Sort of like Haliburton.
