it's called Face Validity
He is basically using his name to give this product credibility. Everyone should realize that although he is an MD, he is a surgeon, a specialty that is not well versed in medications. So yes, he is pulling a Linus Pauling. And the old saying goes, "If it is too good to be true, it is...." As an MD, he should know better than to push a particular product onto the public. Let the facts speak for themselves lest something adverse may happen like the previous weight control drugs that caused pulmonary fibrosis.
