It's difficult to move into new areas
When the money controls the market entry.

I'm in agreement with the need to displace the old approach as
it certainly doesn't help us, as individuals or doctors or
clinics/hospitals.

One factor of interest to me is that the FDA certifies (actually,
approves) medical equipment. If you look at just the cpap
market (I use one) there are a lot of different models,
especially outside the limited cpap device. I use an autopap
from ResMed and download my overnight use data from time to
time. ResMed's software is their own proprietary program and
other companies in the same market will have their own
programs.

The objective of HIT in terms of working with these companies
is to establish standardized links so that data generated by the
proprietary systems can integrate into various HIT systems.

With an autopap you're talking about data like 95th percentile,
high and low pressures, leak levels, Hi and AI. Some might add
PulseOx, curving of breath, etc.
