It's not profitable
in the capitalist sense; it's a drag; it's a cost of meeting regulatory
requirements. We have long passed the point where government
regulation increases business profitability. It's all a drag.

However, the current environment IS profitable for corrupt
government officials who can buy and sell favors in the regulatory
environment. Just like DiFI funneled $25 billion to the FDIC as a
"reward" for her husband getting lucrative real estate deals on
foreclosed homes, Health Care regulation will never simplify because
too many politicians would lose too much money and power.

So, the people who created the problem will tell you they have the
solution, and 62 million ignorant Americans will believe them.
