Billing & Rx systems should meet Fed standards
Ask any doctor about the miseries with the current billing
systems and you should be able to quickly see a need to have
strong standards where everyone is on the same page.

I have no problems with the providers and users being heavily
involved in the design, but it needs to be a universal format
with access from all system platforms.

As far as consolidation in the drug industry I believe that
companies like Walgreens and CVS will be a strong factor in
avoiding a monopoly. And let's not forget Wal-Mart.
