Touchdown possible
As long as the end product accommodates HMO & PPO
type programs as well as various government systems,
from VA & military families to Medicare and Medicaid. If
these basic areas are covered then private insurance
companies can be told to comply with the IT standards or
get out of the business. That would be nice!

At some point it might be interesting to see the main
companies form a HealthIT Consortium for setting all
standards and building blocks. Have it open enough that
small companies can join with their ideas that work within
the standards and building blocks.
