The cost of an PET/CT or MRI scan was about $2,500 when I
had mine and a round of radiation or chemo is going to be at
least $40,000. Identifying the efficacy of a treatment early can
save some major dollars when the original treatment plan isn't
as successful as it should be.
Some cost reductions might also be possible for a local cancer.
My PET/CT went from the top of my head to my thighs. If the
area can be limited then costs can be reduced. Say, for a brain
tumor the PET/CT or MRI is limited to the top of the head to
