Imaging is just one industry
Singapore Airlines enjoys a far better depreciation environment than other
airlines and they also have continuously had the newest fleet of planes
for years.

Pushing that accelerated depreciation to medical imaging will only allow
for newer and better imaging for patients. On come conditions an old
device works fine. Others conditions can benefit from the most
effective imaging available. The lady who lives across the street from
us needs the best possible and her live may well depend on it.

Another interesting factor is that the "old" devices can be recycled to
countries where current devices are simply not affordable. I had an
interesting conversation years ago with a man who started a company
selling "out of date" medical supplies overseas. Basically cases of
supplies that are out of date because they are no longer sterile. Can't
be sold in the US, but in poorer the doctors have no problem re-
sterilizing them as they can't afford the "current" packs.

With rapid depreciation and recycling we can have a win-win all around.
