A smart move
To be blunt - business will love the idea of major cuts in their health
insurance costs. There will still be a need for supplemental policies for
employees, but these will be at a fraction of the costs of today. For
those companies in international markets (like Boeing) the benefits will
be even greater.

I believe insurance companies will, in short order, put their mind to
how they can make a profit in the supplemental market. Premiums are
lower, but payouts would be far lower. Easier to sell to middle class
families as well.

Getting the money first allows for some intelligent discussion on both
sides of the aisle. I think big business will quietly tell the Republican's
to get on with it.
