Broadband duopoly

The broadband use problem is the result of Bell system machinations, asserts the Comment.

For some reason, the Comment doesn't mention cable, which had a head start in providing broadband.

Perhaps the commenter wishes to see a broadband monopoly instead of a duopoly, in which cable companies are able to set prices without giovernment intervention or competition?

Better a duopoly in which the participants raise prices slowly in tandem than a monopoly able to raise prices whenever the CEO's bonus does not meet expectations.
