I have to wonder...
Suppose the SCOTUS rules that manufacturers aren't liable because the FDA gave the product their blessing.

By extension then, could auto manufacturers be liability free once their auto are approved by the applicable agencies (NTSB and/or NHTSA)? Would airplane manufacturers be liability free since the FAA has to approve anything that flies in the US?
