Possible explanations for drug side effects
Interesting. This might explain the fact that many people who take neuroleptic drugs for schizophrenia, Tourette's syndrome, bipolar syndrome, etc., gain weight. Neuroleptics are commonly developed starting with compounds which block D2 (dopamine) receptors, then going through steps to tweak the compounds to make them safe and effective on people.
