Home dialysis
Hello? My father was on home dialysis for three years before his death in 1996. The machines weren't perfect, but they kept him not only alive but active for three years until he died of other causes. And they weren't cheap, but he was not a wealthy man and the cost was not unreasonable. I'm sure the traditional equipment has improved in the twelve years since. Yes, it would be tremendously beneficial if ink jet technology could reduce cost and improve portability even further, but the suggestion that home dialysis is not feasible without such a breakthrough is simply wrong and misleading.
