- Why regulate something that is only a problem due to irresponsible parents
-
ALL over-the-counter (OTC) medications have information about who can use it and how much medicine it should get.
Every bottle of OTC medication has very visible warning and most specify that it should not be given to children under six.
Yet a lot of irresponsible parents not only give them to their kids, they also give them ADULT dosages.
It is the responsibility of the parents to give their children the correct medication and the right amount. The information is there for them to read. The "kid safe" caps and lids are there for a reason and should also give them a clue.
But we are in s society where personal responsibility is forgotten. People want to blame others when they screw up. They want somebody else to pay for their irresponsibility and blaming the pharma for overdosing their own kids is better than admitting that they mistake and letting people know that they aren't the "good" parents they claim to be. - Posted by: wackoae Posted on: 10/03/08 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
