Not willing to take on controversial topics, are you? Good luck with this one.

Here's my two cents: Genetic research and the possibility of using it to "purify" the gene pool (using whatever criteria can be justified) reminds me of an episode of the old Muppet Show. They were holding the First Annual Muppet Awards, and Kermit wanted nothing to do with it. At one point Fozzie Bear (who was hosting) commented on the show as being something "someone (with a sideways glance at Kermit) said couldn't be done." Kermit's response was, "Shouldn't! I said shouldn't be done!"
Makes me wonder if all those old 50s B-grade science fiction movies didn't contain at least a grain of truth. Just because we can do something, should we do it?
