Hmmm, we make the API free until we have everyones health records, then we put the squeese on and start charging people for their own information.

Of course there is also the probability those records will be hacked or stolen by someone in the company or more likey than not, that information is sold to the highest bidder.

Its easy to see a day when a prospective employer does a health background check just as easily as they do credit check today.

Mr. Smith, we checked into your parents records and it seems that on your mothers side that breast cancer occured at a rate higher than the natioanal average, we're afraid we can't offer you the position. Your daughter could well develop Breast Cancer and we can't take that risk.

Mr. Smith, we checked your health records and they tell us you once contracted a STD. We are sorry but we don't hire morraly corrupt people.
