Always On ... and the Food Police
What happens when the cops show up at the grocery store and arrest you for purchasing that Twinkie(R)? Or you get a surcharge bill from your insurance company because your food purchases don't match your prescribed diet?

Not likely? Well, the cops might not care about your diet, but the insurance company would. If you're diabetic, have hypertension or a heart problem and are on a restricted diet, Always On would allow a VERY detailed level of monitoring. Interestingly, no new technology would be required. Your always on device interacts with the cash register via BlueTooth and sends the purchase list to the insurance company (WiFi and Web Services) with compares the list to your prescribed diet. If you're out of bounds, you get a bill. In fact, the insurance company could send a message back in real time and just add the surcharge to your grocery bill.

Now, wouldn't that be convenient?!
