Let's change the business model
I'm not a liberal by any means. But my past experience with well-meaning and dedicated doctors is pushing me towards advocating socialized medicine.

The first doctor I went to when I moved to Virginia decided to stop taking insurance. So I went to another doctor. My opinion is that his decision was motivated by greed.

Doctors are overpaid in the vast majority of cases.

I think the best course of action is to continue to keep abreast of the information you need to keep healthy. That approach has allowed me to avoid the doctor's office for the most part.
