Never take statins
A multi-billion dollar industry based on mass-confusion of correlation with causation. What folly!

I've been against statins from the outset. People look at me funny when I insist cholesterols are a good thing. Apparently no one educated them that cholesterol comprises about 99% of the brain.

There's chronic memory and cognitive loss associated with statin use that has barely been reported by the media.

This is like my last thirty years of raging against low-sodium warnings when there's no evidence that salt intake affects blood pressure in people with normal metabolisms.

Salt exacerbates those with a sub-population of those with a genetic predisposition toward hypertension.

Of course, not that many people were trained in biophysics and genetics at MIT, either.
