No limits on the use of human stem cells
There are no limits on the use of human stem cells. There is only a limit on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research that could promote the propagation of embryos for the purposes of research destructive resulting in their destruction. For those of us who see the embryo as the beginnings of and the most fragile and defenseless among humanity, this is a noble act.

The Bush administration was actually the first in US history to federally fund any embryonic stem cell research, however limited it may be.

If what Athanasiou says is true, he should have no trouble finding private funding because the commercial potential is huge. Why should the public have to pay for it?
