A few questions
I'm not very surprised, but I do have a few questions.

1. With Academia you mean not a company, but universities all over the world? Linguistically, it would appeal to the classical Latinist in me... happy

However, in that case, I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of kernel input by universities. I would have thought they did more than a mere 1,5 %.

2. This is only the top 10, so of course the added percentages don't reach 100 %. As the "no company" segment plus Academia is only 22,6 %, does this mean that 77,4 % of the Linux kernel development is being done by companies?

If the answer is yes, this is perhaps the most astounding fact. Linux kernel development is overwhelmingly, no less than three quarters, pure business....
