I did the same thing and had to revert back.
Firefox 3.5 broke the only 2 extensions I use. Adblock Plus and dictionary search. It displayed it in the upgrade box as being incompatible but chose a clean install since I save the profiles on a server.

It has some nice features to turn on a private browsing mode and the speed seems a tad faster. However the peak memory usage is a lot higher with the normal memory usage somewhat higher. I will go with it as soon as the extensions are available and they address the memory hogging bug.
