- Apple probably won't get it
- Apple is continuing the same mistake Steve Jobs made with the NeXT. He believes that the money exists more in the hardware rather than the software. Opening up to a virtual technology is tantamount to heresy. Perhaps now that he's stepping back things might change. I've loved Apple's products and even the NeXT when it first came out, but its demise (and Apple's subsequent gain) can all be for naught if they don't realize that it's not about the hardware, it's about the software, the tools, and the experience.
