I personally have Verizon and
have sold cell phones for a number of years. I've never had a problem selling Verizon against any other carrier. All one needs do is remind the prospective user is that the express purpose of the phone is usage. Having sold Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. I can say that Verizon is THE service if you travel and want to use your phone. T-Mobile is the one if you want the very best customer service, but are willing to have your phone be a brick in your hand every now and then. Sprint is the service to have if you are easily swayed by technobabble and don't want either good coverage or customer service - because they have neither. AT&T falls somewhere between Verizon and T-Mobile, having nowhere near the coverage, but friendlier customer service than Verizon, and better coverage than T-Mobile, and nowhere close to the courteous and friendly customer service of T-Mobile.

How AT&T ever got those ads out about having coverage being better than Verizon without lawsuit is beyond me. It simply is not so within the continental United States.
