I have o agree with you. I personally use virtual box because it combines the easiness of Vmware, while being free and even open source (at least there is an open source version). So I can't speak for the server market, but at least for the workstation, Virual Box is a very very attractive alternative. 64-bit on 32-bit host was the only thing that was holding me until now, specially when booting my raw-linux image within Windows. Although labeled as experimental, I haven't encountered any issues yet.

How does this compare on the server? I'd be interested in a follow up article! Thanks
