... Apple rejected Linux as an inadequate kernel, Open Office as an unacceptable (un)productivity suite, KDE/GNome as UI, spends a lot of advertising and offered a value proposition that is perceived as convincing to people (whether that's true it's a different matter). IBM and Open Source zealots have never done that, so keep dreaming and keep using your XP to run apps that are not released to Linux yet (such as your beloved Google Chrome)
