Four bay Drobo costs $749 with two 1TB drives included, $999 for
four.
The DroboPro is 8 bay and starts at $1299 empty.
Both units have FireWire 800, FW400, and USB2 connections. The pro
also does iSCSI over gigabit ethernet.

Still not as cheap as a home-built Raid 5 linux box, but certainly
easier and probably more reliable. Sounds awesome if you got an
expense budget, but personally I'm more curious about the
BeyondRAID tech.
