... I don't usually like your blogs, but you've stumbled into a real gem here.

I personally use a laptop with a traditional drive, and store my user data on a 16G SD card. Best of both worlds apparently: my data is on a solid state device, and according to you I'm saving battery life too.

I wonder if this opens vendors up to lawsuits? Wattage is pretty clear number. It would be like selling someone a 7200 RPM drive when in fact it was only 6800 RPM.

I know 6800 doesn't exist in real life, but here is an interesting question: Has any independent party ever measured the rotation of drives?

If they are cheating on wattage for flash drives, are they cheating on RPM for hard drives?
