Flash drives get a fight from disks

Battery Life: Personally I see 30 minutes of extra battery life as being a big bonus but maybe thats just me. We've push Li Ion batteries to the breaking point (just as sony how it worked out when they went past it) and so the trick will be to use them better until the next jump happens in battery tech. Tape will probably never die your right its more reliable and cheaper. I bet we'll see laptops starting to ditch them though as the tech improves on ssd as it makes a lot more sense for them. Remember for laptops your looking at space and heat considerations too. Less power == less heat which is a real killer for laptops as well as peoples laps.
