I don?t find this that surprising ? when staying at a well know chain Hotel, the Server Room, and all Comms Kit was in an unlocked cupboard which was located in the Baggage Room ? full access to anything was possible, and if one wished, one could connect to anything and even access the I/O (USB etc).
Secondly, when staying in a hotel in Parris I purchased some WiFi time ? for some reason it terminated, and I could not connect ? I set up a sniffer to take a look at what had gone wrong, and to cut a long storey short, found myself sitting on a local Hotel Chain Network, complete with access to a Third Party Servers (there was a Security Conference being hosted in one Hotel!). Visibility of Servers, and even connectivity was possible ? here was a case of the danger of Public, to Corporate Data Migration.
