Eee Box runs only Windows XP.
Since no one has answered your question in three days, dragon, I can tell you the Eee Box ships only with XP Home Edition, not Vista. The 1.6 GHz Atom processor and 1 GB RAM in the Eee Box is not considered adequate to power Vista. If the malware is the W32.Usbalex worm as thought, it does not affect Vista, according to Symantec. Whether or not a "red flag" would have been raised about a worm on a Vista system affecting not Vista, but other Windows OSs probably depends on the anti-viral software running with Vista.
