- Why I'll never use or recommend Xandros.

It won't happen unless they create a gratis version. They seem to want to follow in MS's foot steps with no free version (come on! even RedHat and Novell realized removing the free "community" editions got their popularity to nose dive until they brought them back!)
I didn't think that they could close their distro like that considering the GPL which Linux and most of the software Xandros uses is open source and available for free.
