it's the audience, silly
I was at an event last week with over a 100 CIOs and I was getting agitated because the wi-fi was intermittent. Most of the audience did not seem to care. they were raptly focused on the speakers (which I appreciated when it came my time to present)

Being connected all the time via Twitter or other tools is far less important than being connected to the right people.

If I was Twitter and wanted to become a potent force in enterprises I would use some of the $ 35 million in new funding to target specific enterprise audiences with specific vertical applications and content.
