Google yes...Amazon?
I could possibly see the lock-in with Googles setup since you have to write Python and it seems like your apps sit inside of their framework...I could be wrong. But with Amazon you're uploading your own home grown server image and if you just stick with EC2 all it provides is the means to turn on and off servers. Now if you build in S3 support and other tools then I can see lock-in.
