Ha ha ha..is it April Fool's again already?
Geeze and I thought it was April Fool's all over again! What absolute drivell of an assumption.

Look, what planet are you guys seriously living on? Have you ever actually worked in an enterprise?

And as if gmail is going to be a serious alternative to something like Exchange or Notes either on premise or Exchange Hosted Services whether hosted by Microsoft, IBM or their partners.

Last I heard Microsoft was out-investing Google in global data centres USD$2.9b per annum to USD$2.4b per annum.

And if you have not used or experienced Exchange 2007 with unified inbox and messaging, Communications Server and Outlook 2007 then you have absolutey no idea of what you are talking about. My inbox unifies voicemail, email, fax, RSS and more. I can access it from a browser wit full desktop Outlook richness. I can initiate a call or instant message from Office Communicator or an email or voicecall or video call. I can also dial into Exchange Server and have my emails or calendar read to me while I am in the car or I can talk to Exchange to say I am running 10 minutes late to a meeting and it will automatically send out a meeting update t tat effect. My missed calls and voicemail are all in my Outlook 2007 inbox and I can play voicemails within the email.

Any serious analysis of this topic in relation to enterprises demonstrates that the only player who seriously understands this topic is Microsoft. They are the only company who truly get Software PLUS Services. Here is their current Online portfolio with more to come - http://www.microsoft.com/online/learn.mspx

The overly zealous and ignorant crowd who constantly parrot that the whole world is about only The Cloud and only Services in The Cloud are totally deluded. It is about Software PLUS Services!
