Hi, Dennis.

I said what I did, re: EU case being more about competitors whining than cutomers whining because of the reception (or lack thereof) for the versions of Windows with Media Player removed that are sold in Europe. No one wants them.

I have asked customers over the years if they would prefer to have Window without IE, Media Player and other components bundled. Power users often say yes, but "average" consumer and business customers regularly say no. They want integration and ease.

In theory, I agree with you that forcing Microsoft to decouple its other components from Windows would give users more choice. But what if users don't want that? Should it be forced on them by antitrust regulators because it is "for their own good"?
