- AppExchange/Force is a Bust

The word I get on the street is that Dreamforce was exciting, but AppExchange, now Force, is a bust. It is seen as having improved only incrementally with VisualForce, and most people I talk to want to believe that there is substance in something hyped so thoroughly, but that whatever substance there may be is intended for someone else, not them. The "someone else" is most often described as some small startup or department in a big company that just wants to build a widget and nothing more serious.
