These phones are more powerful than the laptops of a couple years ago
They have lots of RAM, GPU, HW codecs, etc, so yes they can run Windows and it's past time they did. Stick a fork in WinMo, it should have already been part of history with 6.5. My 18 month old phone has twice (4G) the ram my laptop does. If the plan isnt already to have WM7 based on windows instead of windows mobile then a big shake up is needed over there.
