A dual core CPU has two cores
In Task Manager>Processes>R click a process>Set Affinity>select CPU numbers.I'm thinking that this is what dual core means, two CPU like things. There seems to be room for a total of 32.This function can be seen working in Task Manager>Performance>CPU History.Parallel processing might be that both CPU like things are running the same file at once. One CPU or two would make no difference. It ends up being a redundancy. Not much thought in this design.I think that the CPU like things are supposed to be automatically assigned as per a user choice.Something could be missing in the Task Manager. And by the way this CPU select shows that the file is running somewhat in the CPU.If one CPU is running at %100 select the other for the remaining files?
